Spore: Dark Young

From the works of H.P. Lovecraft:

The dark young of Shub-Niggurath are encountered wherever that god's cult exists. They are dendroid in form, with thick legs ending in hooves and four long, stout limbs like branches (surrounded by smaller tentacles). Dripping mouths are on all sides of the thick body.

Their appearance makes it easy for them to conceal themselves in the swamps where they prefer to dwell, lying in wait for prey.
